What to Wear

As summer is approaching, I decided that it's time to venture out of my comfort zone and brand into trendier styles. I recently invested in culottes and wide-legged trouser which are now considered a staple piece in my wardrobe. It's undeniable that sometimes adopting certain trends into your wardrobe can be quite intimidating so you tell yourself it's best to stick to what you know. For years I had been piling up a stack of basic Zara leggings based on their comfortable aesthetics and appearances. Therefore, when I recently collaborated with NA-KDI decided to trial out the trouser trend and chose a beautiful pair of tailored white wide-leg trousers. As I am quite petite, I found them to be quite baggy, nonetheless with the magic of a safety pin I pinned them up to create a high-waisted style. To balance the proportions of the trousers, I paired them with a cropped long sleeve top from Revolve. This enabled me to show off my waistline and create an elegant silhouette. As the trousers were classic white they initially gave off a smart attire vibe, so I chose to pair them with my Lovers + Friends striped cropped top, the subtle striped colours created a more casual chic look. To finalise the look I wore a pair of monochrome slingback heels from Boden.
