So when you have a best friend that works at Topshop HQ's, your life is pretty much completed when she offers to take you on a shopping spree! My gal pal Habba and I were in search of a serious wardrobe update for the new year, so what better place to start? Ok ok...so yes most of my finds in Topshop were either a) black or b) black. So it's safe to say my new year's resolution did last more than a day *rolls eyes*. Nonetheless, it was clear throughout browsing that the ruffle trend was striving for world domination. So, guilty as can be, I invested in two staple pieces that every girl should own. So here I've styled two semi-casual looks with a few of my classic faves. My first look was steered more into testing layering with textures, as this ruffle top consisted of: ruffles, pearl embroidery and cold shoulder cut-outs I decided to create a texture mashup by matching it with a strappy pleated jumpsuit #noregrets. My second look channeled more of a casual vibe, pairing a ruffle jumper with bell cuff sleeves and of course, flared denim jeans.
Let me know which one's your favourite look in the comment box below.
