Oh My Dutch!

I recently photographed my dear friend Kathy, who I believe has amazing style and an incredible wardrobe, we decided to pretend for a day that we were the fabulous ladies of Sex and The City and rummaged through the lengths of her wardrobe in aid to creating a exciting fashion shoot. Kathy being Carrie and myself being Samantha, we revamped and styled a few of her outfits to create edgy new fashionable looks. A few of which are going to be highly popular this SS'14, so lets explore a few of them shall we?

No.1
Crop top: Brandy Melville
Skirt: French Connection
Necklace: Estella Bartlett

Being young fashionistas, it's norm to at least own more than one crop top, as they were very popular last summer, and have continued on to this season. Especially as summer is around the corner and everyone is feeling the hipster vibe from Coachella, it's clear that everyone will be stocking up on a few crop tops to rock outdoors!

I personally love Kathy's purchase as the back of the crop top has a caged detailing, which serves as a fancy decoration aspect of the crop top, also another benefit of this crop top is that it is well structured and shapes perfectly on her body creating a flawless fashionable look.

For those of you who aren't huge fans of statement necklaces, we also decided to switch up the accessories and wear a simple danty gold necklace back to front! So Chanel right?

No.2
Dress: Forever 21
Bag: Oasis
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Stockings: Superdrug

We decided to create a summery urban look inspired by the skater girl trend seen in Marc by Marc jacobs AW'14. This dress incorporates metallic cheeky subverted logos, which creates a playful and young vibe to the look. Whilst the over-the-knee tights contributes to the fun fashionable aspect of the outfit,

Although Marc by Marc Jacobs AW'14 was very tomboyish, we decided to throw in a pair of heels and sheer stocking to create a more feminine look for this summer. A multitude of high street stores are bringing out ranges of patterned and coloured tights for which you can add to your outfits!

No.3
Dress: Vintage
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Switching to more of a classy evening wear look, this fringed dress works as such an elegant outfit that you can wear to a fancy dinner. Although bright blues are in this season, SS'15 focuses on the importance of darker tones of blue across womenswear apparel. Navy blue also complements Kathy's skin tone and hair colour! Minimal accessories are required for this look, as the fringed fabric serves as a design aesthetic for the look.

No.4
Crop top: Forever 21
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Summer is coming and blue has been a prominent colour at fashion shows globally, electrifying blues serve as a bold statement on edgy looks.  Vibrant tones of ultra-blue and cyans are taking over the windows of most high street retailers! This crop top was made from a satin material, therefore it makes the colour stand out and look electrifying, when wearing these kinds of colours, I believe it's best to complement it with print or geometric patterns as it will enhance the look.

Thank you Kathy for letting me pap you're stylish outfits!
