On a fine sunny winter's Sunday afternoon, my roommates and I decided to explore the city and take cable cars across the river to Roosevelt Island. The island is located just outside of the city in between Manhattan and Queens in New York City's east river. It's a perfect location to get views of the Manhattan Skyline with a riverside view!
